Went for a walk to Rainbow Lake this morning - we were hoping to see Bobby up there, but he wasn't there. There were lots of other dogs - Sian was talking to a lady who trains dogs, and they were having a chat about clickers and things. She had a collie called Twix and a lovely golden retriever - not sure what that dog's name was, it wasn't as playful as Twix. Twix said she was learning to put her paw over her face when her boss said "Shy" - I can just see it happening, you know what, Sian will try to teach me to do it now. Never mind, I do like a challenge - if I ever have to do talks and things like that, it's handy to have a trick! Especially a cute one like that.
We then went down to the lake, which was very muddy considering how much rain we've had. There were two border collies there - we thought they were farm dogs - they were in the lake, and very possessive - we couldn't go into the lake - they wouldn't let us!! Anyway, a bit later, a man came down from the hill and they went with him. They hadn't come from the farm at all. I get a bit scared of loose border collies - they can be a bit scary - I didn't show I was scared, but I just copied Ellie and pretended to ignore them - they were showing their teeth at Flash - that's not really very friendly, is it.
Sian was supposed to be working tonight, but the shift got cancelled, so I think as it's a nice day, we might go and do some pigging - I hope so, I like working!
